Kelly Mittleman

A New Reason

Kelly Mittleman is a great singer-songwriter from the NY/CT area............ she is constantly performing in the northeast with some of the best players in the business. Check her website to purchase the cd and find out where she's singing next. This is a very cool record.

Frannie Faith

Artist of the Heart

This record was a tough one to catagorize. It has all the hooks of a great pop record but the spiritual message of a meditation type record. Frannie Faith really broke the mold here and it was a real pleasure to track and mix it. Produced by Frannie and her husband Jeff Southworth of Hall and Oates fame, Michael mixed it with Jeff and Frannie back in early 2010. Some great players and singers on the record......... Sharon Bryant, Robin Batteau, and Jeff Southworth. To hear more about the record and of course purchase it, go to Frannie's website

Tori Letzer

Behind Closed Eyes

Tori has been singing professionally since the age of seven, started playing the piano at age five, and has been writing music for as long as she can remember. Tori has a unique, ethereal sound that sets her apart. Her desire to perform has led her to many roles, which include touring the US, Canada & Asia with Cirque du Soleil's “Quidam” where she played the lead vocal role of Zoe. She has also performed featured roles with The Metropolitan Opera at Lincoln Center in NYC. A recent graduate of Berklee College of Music Tori now lives in LA and is working in the film scoring business..... Here is a clip of one of Tori's tunes from her debut CD "Behind closed Eyes" which was produced here at The Music Lab, featuring Zac Coe on drums

Eddie Elliott

Come on Down to the House

Eddie Elliott's record came across my plate in a strange way........ Half of it had already been tracked in California but needed to be finished. The other half was tracked and mixed from here in Arizona........ I heard Eddie singing in Scottsdale one night and told him about my place and if he ever wanted to record some tunes, I would love to be involved......... a few months later he came to me with this collection of songs...... A wonderful singer/songwriter with great stories to tell about life, love and family, Eddie's voice is one that needs to be heard.

Eclectically Speaking

Lamone's music features thick stacked pop harmonies against a jazz/R and B track. The lyrics and melody are fresh and tasty and Lamone's voice is like butter. This record was co- produced by  jazz pianist, Jay Rowe( from the New England area and features Najee on a few tracks. Lamone has a new CD coming out. We'll let you all know when it's released. You can hear more about Lamone at

Jay Stollman

One of my favorite tunes covered by Jay Stollman. We did this a few years back. Bobby Peters on sax, Nick Mangini on drums, Scott Spray on bass and a guest artist that you'll have to guess.

Brian Demarco

Living Above the Line

A great new CD from Brian Demarco is out and available on itunes. 12 new original cuts from the talented singer/songwriter from Phoenix. The record features Gary Ferguson and Ron James on drums ,John Willis, Mario Mendivil, and Dave Anderson on bass, Adam Armijo on guitars, Mike Smith on pedal steel, Peter Anderegg on cello, Tyler James on banjo, and Lisa Gridley on vocals. Featured here is cut #10 Weight of Gravity

Buskin and Batteau

Red Shoes and Golden Hearts

I had the most fun in my career producing these two amazing singer-songwriters. David Buskin's and Robin Batteau's extensive list of credits goes on and on. Refer to their website to hear more of their work. The tune showcased here is "Choose Joy", a major good karma tune.

Steel and Stone

Bluegrass is one of those lost genres that you don't hear much about these days.......... Gary and Mary Beth Sippin have managed to keep it alive in CT with their band "Goldrush" This CD has some great songs, great performances, and some great productions....... all in all, a great CD. The band focuses on Bluegrass for the most part but a few country/pop renditions are thrown in the mix as well. You can purchase the CD at...........

Vinyl Station

The Evening Sin

The core of Vinyl Station is Matthew Thornton and Brendon Cottrell, a guitar based duo out of Phoenix,AZ. We produced this record over the span of about a year and a half due to the band's extremely busy schedule. The tunes are infectious as is Matthew's vocal delivery, and Brendon's harmony fills out the vocal mix...... with the help of Michael's keyboards, the other musicians include Scott Kusmirek and Jim Atkins on drums, Tyler James on Banjo, and Roger Singleton on guitar. The new CD is available on itunes........ download a copy..... a very cool record. Here is cut #7 on the record......... "Burned"
