Eddie Elliott's CD is done and out on the market. Eddie is a voice to be reckoned with........ no question. This CD covers the complete spectrum of Eddie's "from the heart" writing style from haunting ballads about a night in "Key West" to a rousing anthem about the year to come in "This is our Year". His intimate style and voice captures you from the opening lines of  "House".

The Boys in the Hall

This is something I did for  Richard Fiocca. It was recorded in Prague and conducted by Richard with the real deal.......... no samples here. It's for a show on FoxSports called "The Boys in the Hall", a baseball show about hall  of famers........ baseball and symphonic music...... puts a lump in your throat everytime.

Wild Horses in Winds of Change

The film "Wild Horses in Winds of Change" directed by Mara LeGrand of Skydancer Productions is an official winner of a Silver Telly award. Michael Terry was the orchestrator and co-composer on the film with Larry Surezky.  Here is a little clip from the score entitled " Round Up"

Artist of the heart: Frannie Faith

This record was a tough one to catagorize. It has all the hooks of a great pop record but the spiritual message of a meditation type record. Frannie Faith really broke the mold here and it was a real pleasure to track and mix it. Produced by Frannie and her husband Jeff Southworth of Hall and Oates fame, Michael mixed it with Jeff and Frannie back in early 2010. Remote mixing

With the use of FTP, OMF files and various DAWs that now talk to each other, remote mixing is now easier than ever. Michael and The Music Lab have added this service to the long list of things we do here. Michael has been mixing for tv and film for well over 20 years and the long list of placements both vocal and instrumental music in the film and tv arena speaks for itself.  The benefits of remote mixing are without question. It allows the composer or songwriter to step back from his or her creation and let a mixing specialist take the music to another level.

This tune, "Everything But You" was recently placed in the ABC daytime series, "All My Children" It was written by Michael and the artist Tarah Leveen. It was produced at The Music Lab by Michael.

On the Road with Jesse Terry

I'm taking two weeks off from the predictability of the recording studio to be on the road with my son Jesse in Arizona, New Mexico and California. Being on the road with your son who is half your age is totally unpredictable and a once in a lifetime experience to say the least. So far I've had to learn 18 great new songs, wonder where I'm sleeping on any given night, and watch my son do everything and anything his business requires in the passenger seat of my car.

Vocalists and Instrumentalists: you need a reel to get work

The Music Lab is running an on going special. For $500.00 bucks we will put a reel together for you. We have hundreds of tracks to sing to including some mock radio/TV spots. We've been producing music for 30 years or so and the question that we ask the most is "do you have a reel"? Most producers won't hire you without one and an acapella video on youtube doesn't cut it. We need to hear you sing and play against a track. Call us to set up the details.
